TASTE OF AFRICA
Taste of Africa is an annual showcase with skits, food, dance, music, fashion, and live performances reflecting the many cultures of Africa. It is organized and performed by our members and local partners to present to the Georgia Tech and Atlanta community. With over 750 guests in attendance last year, this event continues to grow each year. Georgia Tech is home to several students from different cultures and countries, and we will continue to host this event to contribute to this diversity.
This one-day conference focuses on promoting the image and future development of Africa using science, technology, and innovation. Past speakers have included Mr. Sangu Delle, entrepreneur, author, activist, Soros Fellow, and TED Global Fellow, and Ms. Jasmine Burton, Georgia Tech student and member of the 2014 InVenture Prize winning team.
